Helping you back to health

Massage

What is massage?

Massage is a hands-on therapy. It’s used to help relaxation of the body and mind through the release of muscle tension.

What does It involve?

There are different styles of massage and individual massage therapists use different techniques ranging from very light touch to deep tissue work. At WBOC we take the time to talk with you about which style will best suit you. Our massage therapist will also work closely with the Osteopaths to make sure that the massage you receive will fit in with any osteopathic treatment.

The techniques used at WBOC are drawn from:
Swedish Massage
Aromatherapy
Sports/Deep tissue/Remedial Massage
Hot Stones
Lymphatic Drainage

What can it help with?

Massage can be used to address issues such as aches, pains or stresses arising from everyday life or more specific problems that require more focused work. Some people choose to use massage as a maintenance procedure to guard against problems returning or simply as a way to switch off and relax.
